About us
Today.MT is made by a group of people who love the Maltese islands and want to look after them.
Who we are
We are a group of dedicated people who care deeply about Malta's nature and environment. We come from different backgrounds. What we share is a love of Malta and Gozo, and a worry about what could be lost if we do not look after them.
What we believe
Malta is small but remarkably rich: species found nowhere else in the world, sea cliffs, garigue, valleys and a long, layered history. People protect what they know and love, so we want everyone to be able to learn about the islands in plain language.
What we do
We explain Malta's species, habitats, geology and history in plain language, in English and Maltese.
We share news from Maltese sources, always crediting the original and linking to it.
We show how to report a wildlife or heritage incident, and who to call.
We shine a light on the people and groups working for nature, animals and heritage.
How we work
We are independent. The site has no tracking and no visitor accounts.
News is written by the Editorial Team, and every source is named and linked. Photos carry their credit and licence.
We point to the official sources, such as ERA, Heritage Malta, BirdLife Malta and Nature Trust Malta, rather than try to replace them. If you find a wild animal in trouble, contact them first.
We are working so that every page is available in Maltese as well as English.

Caring for Malta starts with small things: learn about the species around you, report what you see, and support the groups doing the work on the ground.
